arts & entertainment
i sharpened my teeth writing features and event blurbs for local happenings. think gallery openings, plays, and the occasional goat yoga. i also got to flex my philosophy degree with an online mag that leaned hard into the existential and the entertaining. over the years, i’ve written journalistic, educational, and just plain fun content that now lives in the great digital void, lost before i knew what a portfolio was or that i should probably screenshot stuff. consider this my retroactive proof of life.
folio weekly
while working production at the st. augustine amp and pv concert hall, i contributed to jacksonville-florida-based publication, folio weekly, writing a&e features on bands coming to town and/or releasing new albums. i also wrote “our picks” blurbs highlighting upcoming gallery openings, art walks, and other cultural events.
psychic gloss
i wrote one piece for psychic gloss, a digital mag that stirred together photography, entertainment, psychology, music, philosophy, the occult, health, and whatever else the editor tossed into the cauldron. the site’s long gone, but i dug up my philosophical romp using the wayback machine. it’s a little weird, a little wistful, and a lota what-the-hell-is-he-talking-about.
